Let the little children come to me…"— Matthew 19:14

Overview

Designed for children ages 6 months to 2 years, Little Blessings offers a nurturing space for early childhood development. Through a balance of structured routine and creative play, we provide the consistent care and emotional support little ones need to thrive during their first steps into group learning.

Through songs, simple crafts, stories, and guided play, children experience a gentle introduction to structure and routine. Our teachers provide attentive care while helping little ones grow emotionally, socially, and physically.

At Little Blessings, we focus on what matters most at this age — comfort, connection, consistency, and care.

Each day includes age-appropriate activities designed to support early development.

Story Time – Listening, language exposure, and early literacy

Music & Movement – Songs, rhythm, and joyful expression

Simple Crafts – Exploring textures and creativity

Sensory Play – Hands-on experiences that build curiosity

Social Interaction – Learning to share space, take turns, and engage with peers

Outdoor Time – Fresh air and movement (weather permitting)

Children learn through safe exploration and caring guidance.

Faith at Little Blessings is introduced in gentle and meaningful ways that are appropriate for infants and toddlers.

Children hear simple Bible stories, sing songs about God’s love, and experience kindness, patience, and compassion modeled by their teachers each day.

Our older toddlers have the special opportunity to join the Preschool students for Chapel once a week. This allows them to experience worship in a joyful, group setting and begin building familiarity with the Preschool community they may grow into next.

At Little Blessings, faith is not formal or overwhelming — it is woven naturally into the rhythm of care, comfort, and daily interaction.

At this stage of development, we focus on:

  • Separation confidence
  • Following simple routines
  • Early language development
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Emotional regulation
  •  Social interaction

Our goal is to create a secure environment where children feel safe to explore and grow.

FAQs

  • What should my child bring?

Please send your child with a labeled bag that includes:

    • Diapers and wipes (if needed)
    • A complete change of clothes
    • Any necessary comfort item (small blanket or lovey)
    • A snack and drink if instructed by your teacher

Because toddlers are active and curious, extra clothes are always helpful! Specific classroom reminders will be shared before the school year begins.

  • Is my child required to be potty trained?

No. Little Blessings serves infants and toddlers, and potty training is not required.

We partner with families when children begin showing readiness signs and support them gently and consistently during that transition.

  • How do you handle separation anxiety?

Separation can be emotional — especially for our youngest children (and parents!). Our teachers use calm reassurance, consistent routines, and gentle redirection to help children adjust.

Most little ones settle quickly once engaged in play or comforted by a trusted caregiver. We encourage families to create a short, confident goodbye routine, which helps children feel secure.

  • Do families need to be Christian?

No. We welcome families from all backgrounds.

Little Blessings is a Christ-centered program, and we model kindness, patience, and love in age-appropriate ways each day. Faith is introduced gently through songs, prayer, and loving interactions.

  • What if my child cries?

Crying is a normal part of early development, especially in new environments. Our teachers respond quickly with comfort, redirection, and reassurance.

We focus on building trust and helping children feel safe. If a child is having a particularly difficult time, we communicate with families so we can work together to support them.

  • What is your teacher-to-child ratio?

We maintain age-appropriate teacher-to-child ratios to ensure attentive care, safety, and meaningful interaction.

Smaller group sizes allow our staff to respond to each child’s needs while creating a warm and nurturing environment.
