Seasonal Services
2026 Seasonal & Festival Services
Throughout the year, there are certain Sundays that help us pause and focus on key moments in Jesus’ life and in the story of our faith. These special services follow our regular Sunday worship schedule unless otherwise noted. Each one gives us an opportunity to reflect, rejoice, and grow together as a church family.
- The Epiphany of Our Lord: Sunday, January 4, 2026 – Epiphany celebrates the moment Jesus was revealed to the nations through the visit of the Wise Men. It reminds us that Christ came not just for a few, but for the whole world. During this season, we see how Jesus reveals His glory through His teaching and miracles—and we’re invited to see Him clearly in our own lives.
- The Baptism of Our Lord: Sunday, January 11, 2026 – On this Sunday, we remember Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan River, where the Father’s voice declared Him the beloved Son and the Holy Spirit descended like a dove. It’s a beautiful picture of the Trinity at work. It also reminds us of our own Baptism—where God claimed us as His children and gave us new life in Christ.
- The Transfiguration of Our Lord: Sunday, February 15, 2026 – On the mountain, Jesus revealed His divine glory to Peter, James, and John. For a moment, they saw clearly who He truly is—God in the flesh. This festival prepares our hearts for the journey toward Lent by reminding us that the One who goes to the cross is also the glorious Son of God.
- The Ascension of Our Lord: Recognized Sunday, May 17, 2026 – Forty days after Easter, Jesus ascended into heaven and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. Though we do not see Him physically, He continues to rule and work through His Word and His Church. The Ascension reminds us that Christ is in control—and that He will come again.
- The Holy Trinity: Sunday, May 31, 2026 – On Trinity Sunday, we celebrate the mystery and beauty of our one God in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While we may not fully understand it, we joyfully confess it. This day invites us to marvel at the God who creates us, saves us, and walks with us every day.
- Reformation Sunday: Sunday, October 25, 2026 – Reformation Sunday gives thanks for the clear proclamation of the Gospel: that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It’s a celebration of God’s Word and the freedom and hope found in it. We rejoice that the truth of Scripture continues to shape and guide our lives.
- All Saints Sunday: Sunday, November 1, 2026 – On All Saints Sunday, we remember and give thanks for believers who have gone before us in faith—especially members of our congregation who have entered eternal rest. While there is reflection and remembrance, there is also deep hope. We celebrate the promise of the resurrection and the certainty that in Christ, death is not the end.
- Thanksgiving Service: Thursday, November 26, 2026 – 10:00 AM – On Thanksgiving Day, we gather as a church family to give thanks to God for His many blessings. This service helps us pause in the busyness of the season to recognize His faithfulness—not only in daily provision, but especially in the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
- First Sunday after Christmas: Sunday, December 27, 2026 – The First Sunday after Christmas continues the celebration of Christ’s birth. Christmas is more than a single day—it’s a season of rejoicing that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. On this Sunday, we reflect on the wonder of the incarnation and the peace and hope that Christ brings into our everyday lives.
Lenten & Easter Services
Lent and Easter are a powerful journey we take together as a church family. Beginning 40 days before Easter, Lent invites us to slow down, reflect, and refocus our hearts on Christ. It’s a season of honesty, repentance, and hope — and it leads us to the incredible joy of Easter morning.
Each service along the way helps us walk that story — from ashes to resurrection.
Lenten Services & Meals
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner: 5:30–6:45 PM (Tuesday before Ash Wednesday) – On the evening before Lent begins, we gather for a joyful pancake dinner together. Shrove Tuesday is a long-standing Christian tradition marking the final day before the Lenten season begins. It’s a fun, welcoming way to enjoy fellowship as a church family before entering a more reflective season.
Ash Wednesday: 6:30 PM – Ash Wednesday begins the season of Lent and occurs 40 days before Easter (not counting Sundays). During this meaningful service, ashes are placed on our foreheads as a reminder of our need for repentance and the forgiveness Christ freely gives. Holy Communion is celebrated as we begin this sacred journey together.
Lenten Soup & Sandwich Supper: 5:30–6:15 PM (Wednesdays During Lent) – Before our midweek services, we gather for a simple meal of soup and sandwiches. It’s a relaxed time to connect, share conversation, and ease into the evening before worship. These meals are a meaningful part of the Lenten rhythm at Hope.
Midweek Lenten Services: Wednesdays at 6:30 PM – Each Wednesday between Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday, we gather for simple, reflective worship centered on Scripture and prayer. These services offer a midweek pause — a chance to slow down, refocus, and walk intentionally toward the cross.
Palm Sunday: Regular Weekend Worship Times – Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week as we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Palms are distributed, and our children lead a joyful palm processional during worship, reminding us of the crowds who cried out “Hosanna!” It is both celebratory and reflective, as the week quickly turns toward the cross.
Maundy Thursday: 6:30 PM – On this night during Holy Week, we remember Jesus’ Last Supper with His disciples and the gift of Holy Communion. As we hear His command to love one another, the service invites us into reflection, humility, and gratitude.
Good Friday: 7:30 PM – Good Friday is a solemn service that walks through the story of Christ’s suffering and crucifixion. Through Scripture, hymns, and moments of growing darkness, we reflect on the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice and the love that carried Him to the cross.
Easter Sunday Services
Sunrise Service: 6:45 AM (Outdoors in the Traffic Circle) – We begin Easter morning outside as the sun rises, celebrating the victory of light over darkness. This peaceful gathering is a beautiful way to proclaim together that Christ is risen.
Traditional Communion Services: 8:00 AM & 11:00 AM (Sanctuary) – These liturgical services include Scripture, prayer, hymns, and Holy Communion as we rejoice in the resurrection. Together, we celebrate the promise of new life in Christ.
Baptism Service: 9:30 AM (Sanctuary) – What better day to celebrate new life than Easter? During this special service, we give thanks for the gift of Baptism and the resurrection hope that shapes our lives.
Children’s Service with Communion: 9:30 AM (Children’s Center) – Designed especially for families with young children, this engaging and interactive service shares the Easter message in a meaningful, age-appropriate way while celebrating Communion together.
Children’s Service: 11:00 AM (Children’s Center) – This second children’s service provides another opportunity for families to worship in a kid-friendly environment focused on the joy and celebration of Easter.
