The staff at HOPE

Beth Agner
Lead Director of Christian Education
Beth Agner serves as the Lead Director of Christian Education at Hope Lutheran Church, where she guides the spiritual formation of all ages and oversees all childcare ministries with care and intentionality. Beth has been serving in ministry since 2006 and joined the Hope staff in 2008. She earned her undergraduate degree in Christian Education Leadership from Concordia University Irvine and her Master of Science in Family Ministry from Concordia University, Seward. Beth brings a passion for helping people of all ages grow in their faith and for building lasting Christ-centered relationships. Her approach to ministry is rooted in walking alongside others, meeting them where they are, and encouraging deeper connection with Jesus.
Outside of church, Beth is married to her husband, Josh, and they enjoy adventuring with their three children—Bentley, Finn, and Sadie. She loves baking, crafting, working out, and making meaningful family memories through travel. Beth also teaches at Concordia University Irvine, helping shape and equip future DCEs. Her favorite movie is Forrest Gump, and she’s always in the middle of a great book series.
My mission is to meet people where they are in their faith and walk with them at a pace that allows them to build a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Christ.
