Home Repairs

Ever had to repair, or replace, a HVAC unit at your home? Ever needed new carpeting? Or replaced an old roof? Every home needs repairs, maintenance, and updating. It's no different here at Hope! Here's a checklist of ministry facilities projects at Hope. All are important to the day-to-day work going on in our spiritual home. We're off to a good start! Working together, we can tackle the rest of this long list for the sake of our church's mission.

 CHECKLIST OF REPAIR PROJECTS DONE!

HVAC UNITS (CHILDREN’S CENTER/FELLOWSHIP HALL)

  • Two of Hope’s oldest units were beyond repair.
  • Replaced in December 2018, using funds on hand.

ROOF (CHILDREN’S CENTER/FELLOWSHIP HALL FOYER)

  • Flat roof area was leaking badly.
  • Replaced in January 2019, using funds on hand.

AV EQUIPMENT

  • Widely-used, outdated AV carts have been unreliable.
  • Replacement began in June 2018 (large-screen TV carts), using funds on hand.

HVAC UNIT (PRESCHOOL)

  •  Unit servicing entire building far past life expectancy, needing repair.
  • Scheduled replacement completed August 2019, using funds on hand.

 

CHECKLIST OF REPAIR PROJECTS NEEDED

HVAC CONTROL SYSTEM

  • Current controls obsolete, malfunctioning.
  • Installation of new system begun August 2019, partially using funds on hand.

CARPET & TILE (CHILDREN’S CENTER/FELLOWSHIP HALL)

  • Original carpet badly worn, stained, beyond patching.
  • Replacement with carpet squares and tiles to be scheduled soon.

GUTTERS

  • Seams leaking badly in sections of new building.
  • Repairs to be scheduled as quickly as possible.

ROGERS ROAD SIGN

  • 15,000+ cars drive by our fading, outdated sign daily.
  • Facelift and update to be scheduled very soon.

PARKING LOTS

  • Tiny cracks are spreading, and many aren’t tiny anymore.
  • Patching/sealing, to prevent further deterioration, to be scheduled ASAP.

PLAYGROUND

  • Current equipment outdated, mulch/drainage issues.
  • State of art, ultra-safe playground replacement needed.

HVAC UNITS (CHILDREN’S CENTER/FELLOWSHIP HALL)

  • Two more of Hope’s oldest units are well beyond life expectancy.
  • Replacements need to be scheduled in the near future.

COLUMBARIUM HARDSCAPE

  • Lawn area quickly gets muddy and messy with rain.
  • Implementation of original hardscape design to be scheduled.

BATHROOMS (CHILDREN’S CENTER/FELLOWSHIP HALL FOYER)

  •  After 16 years of use, facelift needed.
  •  Spruce-up (paint, fixtures) to be scheduled in coming months.

HVAC UNITS (NEW CHURCH BUILDINGS)

  • All “new” (2010) units still working fine; but won’t last forever.
  • Reserve fund to be set aside for future replacement as needed.
