NEW DIRECTION FOR HURRICANE MATTHEW EFFORTS
For the past 21 months, Hope has been sending adult and youth volunteers to help out with Hurricane Matthew relief efforts. Thousands of families in North Carolina are still unable to return to their flood-damaged homes, and there are many opportunities to serve and assist our neighbors in need. In the past, we’ve worked primarily in Lumberton, but our ministry partners there are phasing out of operations.
Moving forward, we’re going to connect with the Methodist Church’s disaster response organization, based in Fayetteville. Scheduled work days are August 9, September 8, & 20. If you’d like to volunteer on any of those days, please let Pastor Wayne Puls ( ) or DCE Steve MCarthy ( ) know.
