The Men of Hope will provide soup and salad suppers prior to each midweek Lenten Service. Please RSVP on the insert enclosed in the weekly bulletins. A free-will donation will be received.

The Men of Hope will provide soup and salad suppers prior to each midweek Lenten Service starting February 13. Please RSVP on the insert enclosed in the weekly bulletins. A free-will donation will be received.

Proceeds benefit Men of Hope service projects.

Baskets of Promise Project

Hope is joining the Lutheran World Relief’s Baskets of Promise appeal. Each weekend, we’ll collect a different item that we’ll use to assemble Personal Care Kits that give people around the world tools to stay healthy in life’s most challenging situations.
The goal is to assemble 300 Personal Care Kits and the collection schedule is as follows:

• Feb. 16-17: 4oz Bars of Soap (any brand in original packaging);
• Feb. 23-24: Bath Towels (light-weight, dark color, max size 52″x27″);
• March 2-3: Toothbrushes—adult size in original packaging;
• March 9-10: Combs;
• March 16-17: Nail clippers (metal, attached file option);
• March 23-24: Toothpaste (regular size in original packaging)

As we reflect on the death and suffering of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ this Lenten Season that saved our souls, let us be inspired to help those in need and perhaps touch their hearts through the blessing of these kits!

Shrove Tuesday Pancake & Sausage Dinner

February 12 from 5:15PM-7:15PM
The Men of Hope are sponsoring Hope’s seventh annual “All You Can Eat” Pancake and Sausage Dinner on Shrove Tuesday, February 12, 2013 (the night before Ash Wednesday) from 5:15PM-7:30PM.
The cost of tickets if purchased prior to the event is: Adults $6.00 ($7.00 at the door), Children 4-13 $3.50 ($4.00 at the door), Children 3 and under free. Maximum cost for the family is $22.00.
Bring your family and friends and enjoy scratch-made pancakes, sausage, dessert and beverage. Proceeds benefit Men of Hope service projects.
