Notes from Pastor Cosgrove – July 2013
Pastor Cosgrove’s Reflection…WOW & Praise God!!!!
Dear People of Hope,
Is about all I can really say to the Picnic “you all” threw for my family and me! We were blessed beyond words and cannot thank everyone enough who had a hand in planning it! What a great and memorable way to end ministry here at Hope! My heart was filled with gratitude that so many of you took the time out of your Sunday afternoon to be there and wish us well.
Thank you to all of you who contributed to the monetary gift for my family and I. It will go a long way in helping us transition into our new home in York. Thank you also to the ladies of Nifty Needleworkers of Hope for the quilts to keep us warm on those cold nights!! Thank you also to the Mission Team, Fellowship Team, Youth and of course Danielle Allen for their gifts of love. I loved the Anchor Cross (a symbol of hope) and will wear it often to remind me not only of the hope I have in Christ but also the Hope from where I came! Thank you Youth for remembering my sons Kevin and Jonathan. They both loved their gifts and it meant a lot to Jackie and I that you acknowledged them as well!
Finally, I have to report that “Operation Mustache,” my last official missional project at Hope, raised $3110.00!!!! Thank you everyone!! That money has taken the financial burden off of the Guatemala Mission Team and allows them to now concentrate on spiritually preparing themselves for their adventure. God is Good!!!
Remember the words of a good friend of mine who recently told me “Don’t cry because it’s over, but smile because it happened!” I’ll be doing a lot of smiling in the months and years to come!!! Thank You Hope it’s been great! For me, I can’t wait to see what God is going to do up North and will always remember what He did down South!
See You Later!
