It is not easy for young Christians to stand up for their faith in today’s culture. They receive messages that conflict with their belief system from every angle. The fast-paced world, at risk behaviors, and the complexities of managing relationships gives Christian parents lots to pray about for their children.

How do we reach young people who are being driven by today’s culture into at-risk behaviors? Through Christian relationships in Hope’s Youth Ministry, young people and adults discover they are loved, forgiven and accepted. As they live in Christian community and grow in their faith, they find direction and purpose to their lives as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Youth Ministry at Hope can not happen without a partnership between the parents and church. The church hopes to partner with parents to help young people claim their identity as children of God who are “Fearfully, wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:13). As they grow in confidence and faith – and with the power of the Holy Spirit, they can stand tall in this world and proclaim the word and love of Jesus to everyone they meet.

The Youth Team will offer resources and opportunities for parents to grow in confidence as they share their faith with their family.
