Halloween & Reformation Day Costume Party!

October 27 from 6:30-9:30PM
Grab your best costume and get ready for some fun! 5-6 graders will get together in the Youth Center to celebrate two great occasions that both happen to fall on the same day: Halloween and Reformation Day (the night when 500 years ago Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the doors at Wittenberg). We will play different holiday themed games, have a costume contest, eat some candy, sing happy 500th birthday to the Reformation, and learn a little more about the history of those two great holidays. The event is free, but a $1 will get you a raffle ticket to win some great prizes. Friends are welcome! Register here

New Birthday Tradition for 5-6 Graders

Every month Steve McCarthy will host one big birthday get-together at Dairy Depot to celebrate everyone who had their birthday during that month. Even if you didn’t have a birthday that month, you are still welcome to show up and celebrate with the birthday kids! But if you did have a birthday that month you’ll get free ice cream! The August date will be the 28 from 6-7pm. Questions? Contact Steve McCarthy at  or 919-554-8109.

It will be a fun combo of learning, playing, and creating! Questions? Contact Steve McCarthy, DCE Intern, at or 919-554-8109.

The Confirmation Program at Hope

Confirmation is a time in a young person's faith life when they confirm the promise made at their baptism. Hope's program is two years during 5 & 6 grades. However, each year we have 7-9 graders who connect to Hope and go through the program as well. Students focus on a Lutheran understanding of the Bible and use the Catechism as a guide. Questions? Contact the church office at 919-554-8109.
