Cameron Village to socialize, have lunch and checkout the bargains during the center’s summer ½ off sale. I felt welcomed by everyone and committed to continue with future meetings to study God’s word and get to know my new friends better.
We have a wonderful leader, Lynda Watson, who opens her home to us each month with genuine southern hospitality, kindness, laughter and love. I am blessed to share monthly Saturday mornings with Lynda and the rest of the special Christian ladies in our group.
Hope’s Christ Care Groups offer:
- Growth in God’s word and one’s personal walk with Christ through small group bible study
- Sharing of personal insights from scripture passages and how they apply to daily life
- Sharing of personal pray requests, the group continues to pray for all we hold dear in our hearts
- Opportunity to increase circle of Christian friends while developing personal relationships
- Sharing of joys, sorrows and concerns in a safe environment built on confidentiality, trust, compassion and empathy
- Some small groups participate in projects to benefit the community or a specific non-profit charity
- Social outings with the group
I would encourage anyone looking to join one of Hope’s Christ Care Groups to give it a try. There is no obligation to join and you can try several groups until you decide which is the best fit for you. You will find a friendly, welcoming mix of folks who are eager to get to know you and to share their personal stories and walk with Christ with you.
May your life be touched with Christ’s love, compassion and faithfulness,
Kris Jackson
Why become a part of Hope’s small group ministry?
Each group is unique and focuses on different aspects of Share, Study, and Service activities:
Share – Small groups make it possible for members to connect personally with others through prayer and sharing, creating strong bonds of friendship. Groups build a connection between individuals that can not be accomplished before or after services.
Study – Christians grow spiritually when they regularly encounter God through conversation, through individual testimonies and more importantly, through God’s Word. Each group member grows in their relationship with Christ encouraging one another to trust God more completely.
Serve – The collective gifts of each group are used to reach out with Christ’s love to meet the needs of people outside their groups. Group members help one another to live as obedient disciples, holding one another accountable to serve as Jesus served.
