Poverty doesn’t seperate us from Christ. It’s the evil things we do that seperate us from Him.” – Guatamelan Resident
Hope’s Mission Ministry
The purpose of Hope’s Mission Ministry is to provide opportunities to fulfill Jesus’ command of being His witnesses in the world. It is understood that all faith journeys are not the same, so the Mission Team has developed different types of trips to suit your needs. Review and choose a mission trip that is most comfortable for you!
Mountains of NC
This four day trip to the mountains of North Carolina is hands on and fellowship oriented. This trip primarily focuses on supporting the Mitchell/Yancey County Habitat for Humanity with time set aside in the evening for devotions and fellowship. There are various service options depending on your interest and skill level.
Construction: Construction tasks may vary with each trip; however, training will be available at all skill levels.
Habitat ReStore: Another service option available for this trip is to assist the “Habitat ReStore” in sorting and organizing donations. This option is ideal for those who like to support the mission but are not comfortable working in construction.
Guatemala
The central focus of the 10 day long trip to Guatemala is assisting Groundwork Guatemala in “Seeking the Lost; Equipping the Found.” This is achieved by listening, praying, encouraging, and sharing the love of God. You will have the opportunity to interact with children through teaching Bible-based lessons and activities. Morning and nightly devotions are a daily occurrence. One day is set aside to visit local sights and points of interest. You will be changed by this level of trip!!
