Childrens Ministry – FLASH (Follow, Love, and Serve HIM)

FLASH is a unique program designed for 3r and 4th grade students to bridge the gap between Children’s Ministry and confirmation This program allows students to interact with others their own age in a fun-filled, Christ centered environment. This is an exciting time for these older children as they are developing opinions and have unlimited questions about God, the Bible, and their faith. FLASH meets for: fellowship events, service events, family events, and Wednesday Night Alive.

FLASH Meets For

Fellowship events allow bonds to be formed amongst the group, and allow children to see that there are lots of kid’s that believe the same things they do. The friendships built at FLASH will follow them through High School, and hopefully beyond.

Service opportunities teach the children of FLASH how to serve with a grateful heart. Time is spent discussing why we serve, reading in the Bible why God tells us to serve, and going out and serving others.

Family events have been a hit as parents and their children come together in fellowship activities like baseball games, or service opportunities like the brown bag lunch program.

At WNA FLASH kids spend time getting into God’s word. Focusing on spending time learning how to navigate around the Bible, and breaking down what passages mean is a crucial part of the curriculum. This age is a pivotal transition time for children to begin building upon the lessons they have learned, and make a transition from just hearing Bible stories to beginning to grow in their Spiritual maturity. FLASH is preparing children and laying the ground work so that they will be set up to succeed in Confirmation. This is done through interactive Bible lessons, fun games, weekly challenges, memory verse motivation and incentives.
