LENT SERMON SERIES...CHRISTCROSS
You know the shape of the cross, right? You’ve seen plenty of crosses in your lifetime. You may even be wearing one around your neck right now, as a piece of jewelry. Or there might even be a cross hanging on the wall of the room that you’re in at this very moment. Crosses are
familiar to Christians.
But what does the cross of Jesus have to do with your life? Does the cross of Christ really make any significant impact on the way that we, as Christians, face life’s struggles and problems? What influence does the cross of Christ have on our faith, our sense of hope, our church? What about our eternal destiny? We all know that Jesus died on Good Friday. But what, exactly, are we supposed to believe about his crucifixion? Do you know? Do you know what the Bible tells us?
This year our Lent sermon series at Hope Lutheran Church, “CHRISTCROSS” (Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays) will shine a spotlight on the cross of Christ. We will explore its meaning for our day-to-day living, and its power for carrying out God’s great purposes in our homes and families, in our community and world, and in our relationships today.
Yours In Christ,
