Habitat For Humanity

Hope Lutheran Church is part of a Lutheran Coalition that works with Habitat of Wake County. The Lutheran Coalition, made up of 12-15 area Lutheran Churches, raises funds and has built 4 new homes for pre-qualified families. Thrivent Financial supports the Lutheran Coalition through its Thrivent build program. www.thriventbuilds.com.

When there is not a new house being built, Hope’s Habitat volunteers assist in construction or deconstruction areas specified by Habitat Wake Country. A link to Habitat Wake County is www.habitatwake.org

Brushed With Kindness Revitalization” Habitat for Humanity Project Comes To Wake Forest
November 9-10 & December 7-8, 2012
Hope Lutheran Church, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Wake County, The Town of Wake Forest Parks and Rec., Police Department, Planning Department, The Dubois Alumni Association, residents of the Massey area, East End Wake Forest Coalition, Jobs for Life, Restoration CDC, 2 area churches, and other local businesses have planned a Brushed with Kindness (www.habitatwake.org/build/abwk.html) event on November 9-10 & December 7-8, 2012 in the Massey area, the east side of Wake Forest.

This event will refurbish the exterior of 2 homes—one per date, in the Massey area. 15 Hope volunteers are needed for each weekend (7 for Friday and 8 for Saturday).
