Lew Upchurch is currently enrolled in the Specific Ministry Pastor Program (SMP) through Concordia Seminary St. Louis. He is serving a two-year vicarage under the supervision of Pastor Wagner while completing course work that includes two hours of live weekly instruction via the Internet provided by one of the seminary’s faculty members. After ordination, he will then complete two more years of course work. Lew’s specific area of ministry is marriage and family life. Lew and his wife Lisa have four children: Maddie, Isabelle, Max, and Mimi. Lew is a native of Raeford, NC and a graduate of High Point College with a BA in History. He has been a member of Hope Lutheran since 1999 and is employed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation as a Sales Specialist. |
